RECALL TRAINING, LEVEL 1

Service Description

Coming when called (recall) is the most important command for your dog to understand. Dangerous situations may arise on the trail and elsewhere and serious consequences may result if your puppy doesn’t come back when called. This class provides basic exercises to establish reliable recall. You will learn how to use body language and voice modulation to strengthen recall and I will share the most common mistakes that weaken effective recall. This class is for younger puppies that will most likely still follow you everywhere. We will make use of the puppy’s dependency as a training opportunity. Later when your puppy is more confident you will need to strengthen his impulse control for him to come back. See Recall Training, Level 2. As with all Buddy Puppy Foundations classes, you will have the opportunity to socialize your puppy in a safe environment and ask questions about behavior challenges during a 30-minute Q&A session after the class.
