RECALL TRAINING, LEVEL 2

Service Description

Coming when called (recall) is the most important command for your dog to understand. Dangerous situations may arise on the trail and elsewhere and serious consequences may result if your puppy doesn’t come back when called. This class will build on the exercises we practiced in Recall Training, Level 1, and will teach you now how to introduce and practice with a recall cue, like: HERE, and COME. You will learn how to use body language and voice modulation to strengthen recall and I will share the most common mistakes that weaken effective recall. This class is for puppies who have gained confidence and who explore the world independently. Coming back is much harder for dogs at this age and their capacity to disengage and resist distractions like other dogs or wildlife must be built. This class will focus on recall with distractions and share insightful tricks and tools to help your dog come back to you. As with all Buddy Puppy Foundations classes, you will have the opportunity to socialize your puppy in a safe environment and ask questions about behavior challenges during a 30-minute Q&A session after the class.
