Originally from the Southeast, Jen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Upon graduating, Jen packed up her Subaru and took off for Yosemite to chase her rock climbing dreams. The stars aligned and she began teaching second-fifth grade at the Yosemite National Park Valley School, where she stayed for the next five years. In her time living in Yosemite Valley, she dove into the incredible world of big wall climbing and eventually joined the Yosemite Search and Rescue team for a season. 

After a wonderful stint in the sacred valley of light, she moved to Truckee in 2020 and taught first grade at a local outdoor-centered school. In her current role with Buddy, Jen is utilizing her background by connecting clients to engaging and informative social media content. Additionally, she enjoys steering Tahoe’s dog loving community toward individualized services to meet specific training goals. Outside of work, Jen spends her free time climbing in the granite paradise of Tahoe, Yosemite, and the Eastern Sierra. She has also developed a strong appetite for Tahoe’s powder and loves catching the sunset on backcountry ski tours. Overall, Jen is extremely passionate about sharing her overflowing love of the natural world and is thankful she can foster awareness of Buddy’s inspiring mission.
