Service Description

Learning to walk on a leash, without pulling, is a difficult skill for a dog to learn. It’s important to start practicing early with the right equipment and plenty of patience. The class will start with an introduction on how to apply positive reinforcement and to mark behaviors so we can shape them. We will start with leash walking basics and then introduce a cue like HEEL or WITH ME. Additionally, we will practice how to react when encountering distractions during the leash walk, when you puppy pulls, or doesn’t want to walk at all. As with all Buddy Puppy Foundations classes, you will have the opportunity to socialize your puppy in a safe environment and ask questions about behavior challenges during a 30-minute Q&A session after the class.
